See for yourselves the origins of F1 Started in Bristol . Adopted by Parkinson for the Canon series . Then to the Fonda series, before being hijacked by the UIM for the OZ series.

I know the S+F site was closed for a couple of days for refreshments. How come you managed to lose SIX DAYS of the TRICKS thread? What did I do that was so terribly wrong? “Refresh” it and I’ll forgive you Greg !
Now I remember, I got on to the the subject of ANDY’S ANTICS. Was that such a taboo subject in these days of PC and BLM ?
What I said was factual and hilarious, nothing untoward or offensive to anyone that I can see, ot have I got it wrong?

Don't be such a Grump ..... looks like no site was restored to anything after 8/24. Shouldn't be a big deal, there was no earth shattering chatter taking place on any of them.

No worries mate, Curmudgeons seem to have a habit of prematurely throwing their dollies.

JPS tobacco helped fuel Bill Seebold and Tom Percival. Bob Spalding must have at that time, took a smokeless break from co-driving with Tom.

In 1973 (I believe the second race the F1 tunnels ran at Bristol) I saw Renato Molinari win.
Here is Renato with V8 power at Bristol.

    .

Dont ever remember the V8 running at Bristol , but then again my memories shot. If renato won at at Bristol in 73, then it would have been with a Merc, not an OMC. Think he swopped sides in 74/5, but i was once wrong before.
Renato’s first car was a Lancia, nothing spectacular, though he did put a go faster stripe over the roof and bonnet.

Tom and Bob always ran numbers 10 and 11.
Was Bill Brown who first Raced under the Carlesberg Banner, Jenks was racing with Gordons Gin, Bob then got the CARLSBERG sponsorship, but not TOM.
Bob and Tom together were offered the MARTINI deal, Garbrecht turned it down in favour of the John Player deal.
Useless bits of information can always be dissected, disputed and discarded, thats the beauty of it.
