Finally finished the “Three Graces” —— DRY MARTINI—- KAAMA—— and KIEKHAEFERAeromarine 111.
Boats piloted Or-and throttled by RICHIE POWERS— BETTY COOK—— And GENE LANGHAM.
Boats are currently being restored to a very high standard indeed by Ian Toll over here in the United Kingdom——- little place on the coast called Poole.
Been trying to find a window to take time out and pay a visit to Poole sometime soon!

When Mother Nature gets pissed off Gene—- not a damn thing anyone can do about it—-and when she gets really mad, it’s a good idea to hibernate!

I have a lunch date with Parkinson next Saturday—— he’s bringing every bit of info on every FONDA race there ever was—— including ALL the Mercury pre and post race bulletins.
He tells me he has THOUSANDS of pictures—— watch this space, might even have to rename it FACTS ON MERCURY MOTORS IN THE 197/80’s.
One things for sure—- it should increase the volume of interest in the Mercury name again— too much Jonrude at the minute—- time to redress the balance !

Gene, I have to tell you it’s been a hell of a journey travelling with the “OLD FARTS” Names that were legends in their own right——- Bakos —- Steve Sirois,—— Odell Lewis—- Sammy James—- Gene Langham—- Ken Warby, people I never ever would have met had it not been for the old farts.
One day Ian will be an old fart, but I hope to meet him later this month—— he has to be admired for his work on classic boats—— I know you—— I know Keikhaefer Aeromarine 111 — I know Richie Powers—- I’ve actually ridden the .” Dry Martini” !
I knew Pruett——. ( very well indeed) Did some throttle work for Betty Cook in KAAMA before he screwed it all up !
Somehow, I seem to have an affinity with old power boat racers—- who just happen to be the greatest bunch of people in the world.

See what I can do for you Pilgrim—- Parkinson was brilliant at organising power boat races all over the world . FONDA was the first organisation to arrange races in the Far East —— I was the guy that founded FONDA .

Just in case you might wonder what the lens on the Rolls Royce Silver Ghost’s headlights are ? I can tell you——- they are crystals from a giant chandelier.
Picked up a tin full of around two hundred assorted crystals —— more than enough to do all the motors I will ever make.
