Jackie don't get too despondent, you can't expect folks from over the pond to have much of an interest in old British chariots.....You can hardly compare a Morris Minor with a Bel Air of the same period can you?...

Or a Rolls with a Caddie——- or a D Type Jag with a Vette—— remember ‘‘twas the Brits who took the V8 and made it go —- and last.
We were onceg very good at making automobiles—— but that was long before the Germans and the Japs took over the-car industry.

Are there any automobiles being made in the UK these days? By that I mean regular cars, not exotics. I always wanted a Healy 3000.

About three miles down the road from me is the Rolls Royce Factory—- believe me, they produce some wonderful automobiles.
Just up the M1 apiece is the ASTON MARTIN factory——maybe a tad exotic but nonetheless an iconic motor art.
Then— there’s that little old firm who produce MORGANS—— with a waiting list as long as your arm!
Another quintessentially English manufacturer is BENTLEY—— another of the worlds best motorcars
Another iconic supercar is the McLaren—- exotic—- quick—-expensive—- but if it’s top-end Speed you want, look no further!
So, in answer to your question my friend—— car production in England is alive and well.

Morgan is a family owned operation and always has been—— as I understand it.
I have no idea who owns what with the car industry—— I know the French own our electricity supply and the water we drink and the nuclear energy plants , in fact, we don’t own much of anything anymore Pilgrim!
