Made a trip to Havant this morning to find some half inch thick plastic—— need it to make the top deck on the long Gentry Eagle.
Friendly guy at the plastic shop told me to help myself from the scrap bin——- struck paydirt—- a two foot by five foot sheet of half inch clear with a scratch on it was exactly what I was looking for.
Loaded up with. Enough windshield and window plexi and Perspex to last me a life time—— gave the. Guy a tenner for a drink—— best deal I’ve done this year.

Spent the afternoon getting a pair of front tyres on the trusty Lexus——23,000 Miles —- not worn completely, but I don’t like having a pair of tired tyres and a braking system that can stop express trains—— a drop of rain on the surface and it doesn’t work well.
Next two hours I spent making the top deck for The Gentry—— tell you later whether I’m Happy!
Bloody Thursday again already——- rain forecast—- better get my rear in gear—— last time before we go swanning off on our river cruise next week.
Danube this time— Vienna— Saltzburgh——— first time I went there was to pick up the first Schultze!
Last time I was in Vienna was for a Fonda race——- Wilfred Weiland should have won it but didn’t—- his mother fed the whole lot of us with wonderful food——- I remember that so well.
Time to shake a leg—— won’t never get Rome built at this rate ?

Nearly ten years ago, Jim Hauser commissioned me to make the HAUSER—— he gave me a list of fifty power boat drivers to put on it !
I just found an old wallet of mine, going through it, I found the name of this man, JOHN CULVER
How it comes to be there, I cannot remember——- so, I apologise to John Culver—— your name should have been on the trophy years ago!
I can confirm that he was on the original list Jim provided !

“OH, GIVE ME LAND, LOTS OF LAND AND A STARRY SKY ABOVE—- DONT FENCE ME IN”
Roy Rogers, singing to Dale Evans—— remember it like it was yesterday—- they don’t do lyrics like that any more—— or melodious tunes Gene.
Screaming tuneless girlie groups, howling like banshees trying to make out they’re singing——- pretty boys that could be AC/DC—— Transgender acrobatic figures screeching like animals —— all under the guise of SHOWBIZ.
Long gone are the days of Him being a Male and Her being a Female——— never quite sure these days if a vocalist is a human or a three Dee creation——-
Where are the likes of Crosby-Sinatra-Como—ballad singers—- blues—- country and western— Orchestral and classics—- all long gone to make way for the crap that passes for music these days!

Hope you get rid of the “ORRIBLE ANOVER FLU” afore long——- coughing knocks the stuffing out of me these days.
Does this mean the bird is about to fly any time soon ?

You can have a sniffle but you need to be careful it doesnt end up as pneumonia

Most of the folk who have “copped their clogs” had pneumonia Pilgrim—— it’s hooded and carries a scythe——- told the bugger more than once “When your services are required, I’ll call” !

Jackie. If we don't have any other complications we will be in the UK the second week of June for about 4 days. This will be my first time over there. We will then be spending a couple of weeks touring Ireland. I will be visiting the base my dad flew his missions from in England and the village in Ireland my Grandfather left in 1908. Other than that just the regular tourist stuff.

Dont know who worked out your itinerary, but you got it arse backwards—- especially as your going to Norfolk.
If it rains in June in Ireland —- the old adage comes to mind——- hell hath no fury like a fortnight in Ireland when it’s pissing down !

Our itinerary is basically tied to flight availability and price. We are well aware of the weather probabilities and are prepared for that. Also the Parham Air Museum is open on Wednesdays starting that week. We want to go out there on a weekday and this works out the best for us. Wish me luck as this will be my first time driving on your side of the street.

Well, give me a call when you get here—— though i don’t suppose you’re going to have much time for socialising if it’s just a four day stopover.
I was not aware there was an AIR MUSEUM AT PARHAM— I know there’s a famous glider club at Parham as I once owned an eighth share in a “Blarnick” —- couldn’t swallow the community rules —— got out of it after a year. But I learned how to fly a glider.

When the land that the 390th Bomb Group was based on reverted to the owner after the war he left the tower standing. Several decades later a local group restored the building and converted it to a small museum. I took a couple of glider lessons in central Florida back in the 80s. I liked it a lot. Never got to complete the training.

When you get to Parham, ask if you can take a trip in the two seater—— came past the place today—- the PARHAM POINT TO POINT was in full swing !
