That must be a master class tale on its own——- why do I get the feeling we just opened up a whole new adventure?

The conversion was a huge project ($$$)---tons of Bondo---I think as a yacht it cruised the Mediteranean-- Norman had it for sale----years ago I heard it was rotting away at a marina in San Fran-----

Mr Brown can probably tell us more--

    Always a question

They had already aborted the attempt---contaminated fuel

The vessel had the latest nav equipment ----the best radar

I'll ask Jeff Brown the next time I'm at the Jackson Hole Airport

    Sorry to confuse, Jackie

Sir Richard made two attempts Failed on the first try—and sunk the boat

Tom Gentry made two attempts Failed on the first try

They each held the ‘RECORD’—-but only for a short tim

And then the EYEtalians showed up——

Oh hell Gene, here we go again——— so, let’s be clear here—— there were TWO Branson boats ?
Were there TWO Gentry boats ? Or was it the same boat for each attempt ?
How did the “EYETIES” fare ? What boat and engine did they use ?
Only bloke that comes to mind is BOOTSIE ( Fabrio Buzzi ——- My son in law Steve worked for him for a number of years) he is an innovator and just enthusiastic enough to go for an Atlantic crossing!
Bootsie is also a long time friend of Rolla and Mark.
Jesus, But I’m going to have to live to a ripe old dotage to get all these concepts concocted——- either that or stop letting ideas get to me !

On a sad note—— Paris is my favourite (and the most beautiful) city in the world.
NOTRE DAME is my favourite place to visit.
850 years of history, the worlds greatest art collection, ——— 200 years to build, destroyed in one hour.
Natural disasters can wreak more havoc than anything man can think up, with fire being one of the worst culprits.
Im not a catholic—— or deeply religious—— but my heart goes out to the French people who have just lost a huge slice of their history !

he was around the F1 scene in the early days——— my friend Rex White used to run the Suzuki race team with Barry Sheene. He aso ran the Lancia Rally Cross —- FIORIO ran the works Lancia rally team which pissed all over the opposition from a dizzy hight .
Think they were running Ferrari Dino motors !
Renato had one of those Lancia’s when he was a teenager!
When you get the Eyties in any sporting event——- they have government backing—- and huge amounts of cash.
