Bit odd the 400 in it, big block 400 ended in cars after 68. The motor homes later also received the small block 403. All front drive toronado drive setups.

Ahh , now I get what you're saying, must be your accent.

400 auto, I thought these were all front drive 425 transaxels, then smaller with the 403.

Yes 427 piped has a good humm.

It was a front wheel drive—- tad too much throttle when it was wet and you just stayed still with the front wheels spinning——— seem to remember it was the Toranado set up —— but with a tweaked bigger lump .
Once bought a very dented Olds Toranado—— just so I had a spare box——- never did have to use it !
Sold it to a guy who used to deal in American RV’s.

Gene, difference between is —-you served in the public sector——- and of all things, everybody’s dream———— a firefighter! That’s to be admired.
Afraid I never reached such lofty heights——- a baker and confectioner hardly competes with a firefighter.
I did have a wife—- five kids and a dog named Pruett (he never had a Louis Vuitton collar that’s for sure, leather, or a length of rope would do) a garage —- a Mercury dealership and ambition.
Still having a great life —— keeping in better Nick now than I have for years—— who would have ever thought we would reach this ridiculous age ?
Without a doubt we were around at the best time to be a racer—— I suppose it was the birth of offshore———- history is so full of “CHARACTERS”———- look at any offshore race picture—- I’ll guarantee you’ll see at least one !
SPONSORS———- now that’s a whole new book—- not just a chapter——- Hennessy was, and still is, one of the sports most revered names !

Caldwell told us they were actually racing in Abu Dhabi——- playing with the big boys——- head to head so to speak.
Well, we know they were talking horsepower way above the present motors—— so if they did run, they had to be right up there in the midst of ! Only silence——- not a word was heard—— no rumours—— no results——- no reports.
In fact —— not even a mention !
Now, I cannot believe that an outfit like Caldwell went to the Middle East blind and unprepared, that would not happen.
Maybe the UIM got a bit heavy handed and wielded the big hammer!
But with F1 teams looking for a reliable high horsepower engine for the future——- I would have thought Caldwell would have been welcomed with open arms——— so—— anyone know what went Wrong?

That must be this one where he is "air drying" the bottom of the hull and checking to see if those rev-limiters are really working...

[/QUOTE. The ultimate iconic ]“OFFSHORE” boat——- All Modern powerboats seem to stem from this one ( Now I just stirred the pot big time)
That’s the one Scotty Beckovitch asked me to make for him——- did have a chunk of hardwood, but I’ve used it making the new America’s Cup boat ?
Its getting harder to find a decent chunk of hardwood——- next one up is definitely The Cave Mans!
