Yup======exactly like that——— but ten times in a season is a bit strong———— even for a “RUDE”? or don’t you think so Lassie ?

Well of course you do, but as “Ambassador” for your Darling Rudes you have to disagree as a matter of principle !

Me, I know damn well that Mercury is not “PERFECT” , but I never pretended it was——— but it’s still here——— flying its own flag proudly———- not being hawked through the streets of Stockholm looking for a buyer

Didnt even know Bombardier were ——- ——— in the Outboard business——- must have slipped in when I wasn’t looking ! ———- I miss a lot of what’s going on these days.
For those that are interested——- I had a” cooking with gas gas” day in the shop———- four present day outboards hung on the back of an ALL GOLD Predator forty, ——— mounted superbly and looks like all systems are GO.
put a tie bar across the four to help with the steering———— final outcome will look good on an executive desk——- but it has to be someone who appreciates the concept——— there won’t be many more of these——— plus, I’m getting a darned sight better at them than I was a a while back.
Early versions were a bit agricultural, but don’t worry if you own one———- it’s still a bloody good investment———- Roger and Rich were with me from the onset, they will benefit hugely in the long run. There’s an individual who is going round buying up any of the JRW concepts——— if your short of the rent this week, I can put you in touch with him!.
Did the car boot and the scrapyard this morning——— bought a rake of gear——— stupid or shrewd, ? You tell me.
maybe send you a pickie tomorrow of the “ Gold Leaf 40 with the four outboards———- I think it’s good but tell me what you think!

Not a lot Bob, ——- their web site simply died——- some of the prices quoted were astronomical———- beautiful product but not really feasible in the real world.
I do have an invitation and a number to call if I want to chat.
I have mixed feelings on this——— that’s one of the reasons I haven’t called. I don’t like to believe that CTC is not “kosher” but I got this gnawing feeling in my gut !!!!

Bombardier and BRP split in 2003, BRP seem to be doing very well and expanding, sales, share price, income all up.

I know I do get into it with Lassie over the OMC demise——— truth is, I’m really very sad that OMC are no longer with us.
I loved the Halcyon day’s of Mercury/OMC competition——- Problem was, the pair were so intent on hurting each other, they ignored the Jap threat until it was far too late.
Never did understand why they didn’t accept the Penske bid——- the one man that could have made the difference!

Green Marine's bid was higher then Penske's.

I understand that bit John———- But Penske was a builder——— Green was an asset stripper and everyone said they would strip the company naked.
Japs walked into North America and nicked the OMC network for free!

When I was in the market for a new boat 17 years ago I gave serious consideration to Evinrude power. I was of course quite familiar with Mercury and it's corporate parentage. So I then researched OMC and Green marine. Green was a corporate vulture and I was pretty sure I would be left with an orphan motor. Bought a Mercury 225 Optimax. Took that same motor fishing with the wife this week. Pretty sure the OMC I was looking at has long since been melted down for scrap.
