HERE WE GO AGAIN —- made another year — wonder what this ones going to bring . More taxes , thats for sure . Think they finally milked the car cow dry !!!
car tax—- road tax —petrol tax —-parking tax—-purchase tax —-VAT —— MOT —- city tax —speeding fines ——then the final ignominy—— death of a car tax ——- a get rid of tax —— i think the car cow just died .
i am not ever changing cars again —- trusty Lexus is running like a well oiled machine —- no need to even think about it —-its paid for —-its hybrid —- 35 mpg —-low tax [until the tax man plugs the hole] i have had it nearly four years and it still runs like clockwork. So, it‘s a Jap—- it could have been a Kraut or frog —- an Eytie or a Yank. Nothing built at home that turns me on — so it would never be an English product. Older i get — more i reminisce.

Why is it ok to use a dictionary, yet considered cheating if i use my iPad for solving crossword puzzles?
if you cant think of the answer off the top of the head — then you use a reference ???? Library—— Encyclopedia [which are now doomed to the dustbin] —dictionary ???????? SIRI—ELEXA—IPAD. Surely its just an update on an information device ????
nailed the intelligent Sunday crossword yet again — couple of new [entirely irrelevant] words were thrown in — nothing we couldn’t manage .
Nothing else for it —-have to get back in SUPERSHED, although standing for more than five hours a day gives me chronic backache . Not bones out of place or muscular problems — might just be old Father Time getting closer and testing the waters ?????

It’s not just raining— its tropical— storm drains are overflowing —-reservoirs and lakes are full— what’s the betting we have a water shortage in august. If we do i shall sue the water board for incompetence . Considering the fact i pay the greedy bastards for water coming in AND water going out to the tune of several hundred pounds .. they should provide a better service before paying management millions !!!!!!!! Just saying —- end of todays moan —— maybe more tomorrow !!!!!

This is water shortage, here in California. Overflowing is a better option, I think.

Our political environment in Southern California lets the majority (almost all of it) of rain water run through the concrete LA river out to the ocean (bye bye drinking & bathing water). And then they (the politicians) put water usage restrictions & over-usage fines on the citizens.

Finally stopped raining—— for a while anyhow . Everything is so wet , it would be hard to start a gas fire . Amazing isnt it —- world DIDNT come to a stop—- pubs and restaurants stayed open for new year —- omicron numbers falling —- Folk beginning to wonder if we wouldn’t have been better off doing nothing . We could have saved 15 trillion and a lot of companies would still be in business !!!!
Still— everyone’s wiser after the event !!!!!!!!

Just heard the sad news that my very dear friend TOMMY STICKLE died —- we had been friends for over fifty years . One of the few friends i never had a row with. Roomed with him at the PARIS HILTON in 1969 . Met MARCIA later that year. Been friends ever since . We had some great adventures together . Every time he came to SAINT LOUIS he would stop off and collect a shed load of BROTTS —- everyone just knew he would —- that was Tom .
I AM SAD FOR MYSELF AS I LOST A GOOD FRIEND— SAD FOR MARCIA — SAD FOR THE SEEBOLDS .
He was truly one of the all time greats.
HE HAD A BEAUTIFUL RV i was staying up any the house in Tennessee and it came to my turn to drive —-Tommy fell asleep in the back — we were running a cool 85 when he woke up and looked at the speedometer —— he went APE . How was i supposed to know he had only just bought it ??????
