Oh well, it’s pissing down out there but nobody’s coming out to play——- May as well make myself useful ( as my sainted mother used to say ) .

Nearly there——- Friday is the shortest day in England——- then we start to see the day’s getting longer. Maybe a stormy ride before we see the winter out, although it’s been relatively mild.
Even as a kid I disliked snow——- still do—— my kids and grandkids love it. And enjoy skiiing and winter sports——— god luck sez I.
Had a particularly good day in the shop——— trim tabs are looking good—— done the eight exhausts——- roughed out the pair of number six stern drives. Taken a bit more care with them this time—- hope to make the gearcases a bit special.
“SWIRLED” the transom——- brought back memories of the day’s when everything including the trailer was SWIRLED. Was surprised I still had some two inch discs left in the abrasives cupboard——- they must be over forty years old.
Ask any old fart if he ever swirled any of his kit——- the answer will always be “OF COURSE”.

my my Pilgrim——- we are full of the joys of Christmas———- but for all that, I still would have done the abortion ———- Beethoven had to earn his reputation————- and there’s new Beethoven’s and Einstein’s being born everyday !!!
Course, you and me wont live to see them——- but what the hell.

Took a bloody great slice out of both my thumb and index finger yesterday——— was being very clever with the band saw when I hit a hidden stainless bolt——— only just changed the blade the previous day.
Looked at the eight exhaust pipes on the transom———- they looked more like drain pipes—— they had to go, something more in keeping was required——- that’s when it happened !
Well chuffed with the latest project—— even more pleased I’m back in the shop for four or five hours a day ( and functioning ).
Man did it ever Chuck it down yesterday——— Somerset levels are flooded——- Chichester by pass waterlogged——- cars submarineing——— some lunatic with a drone managed to close Gatwick for the foreseeable future————- should be a ten year jail sentence for anyone flying a drone within five miles of an airport.
Half a million people already had their Christmas ruined !
