NOT A LOT HAPPENED LAST WEEK—-THE WEEK AHEAD DONT LOOK MUCH BETTER EITHER .!!!!!!!
did intend to clean up the shop, got as far as giving the lathe its bi-annual clean up and greasing —that was it .
I thought up an idea and went off at a tangent, one idea leads to another and bob’s your uncle—fanny’s your aunt and the workshops still a bloody mess. !!!!!
finally the cold snaps over and spring is just around the corner —-grass had its first haircut —-daffs and tulips are less than a month away and the CAMELIA tree should be in flower next week.
    ALL’S WELL WITH THE WORLD.

Sunday. Start of another week, thats the state of play on my main workbench. Full of stuff from under the bench —-stuff i started and never finished , Stuff i hoped to do——tried to do !!
STUFF that bit the dust and stuff that will make the Final Cut.
Remember the Cessna Nosecone i picked from the AEROSPACE scrapbin???? Was always destined for GENE LANGHAM [one way or another].
Remember he has a RED MUSTANG FASTBACK ——- and a KAWASAKI Z 900 —— and a MALIBUSTANG . and a little white terrier ?????????? Well——- i found a red Mustang Fastback——so it could be the start of something good ?????
Then of course the there’s “A MAN CALLED MERT” ——— and the GARBRECHT special —— and the bloody great FERRARI i picked up last week .and the new “SQUADRON TROPHY” —- Hope to hell i dont get any more bright ideas in the next week or two !!!!!!

Couple of Garbrechts world record boats finally reached the finishing table. First one is already spoken for [Pilgrim from t’other side of the world ] Second is the little known “LONG RECORD BOAT” . I don’t think this boat ever got to run. OMC had gone belly up and SECOND EFFORT had run out of customers .
Was a great effort by BEDFORD DAVIE and GARY GARBRECHT . Gary was the ideas guy and BEDFORD was the money man.
Didn’t look like anybody was ever going to challenge the record so the long boat was never finished .
Two down and four to go !!!!!! Remind me never to look under the bench again !!!!!
