Yup, definitely on the mend——- didn’t cough once last night—— almost forgotten what a good nights sleep felt like.
Must apologise for the drab posts of the last three weeks—- wasn’t up to the usual type of nonsense I normally spout.
might just show you how far on I got with the three rolls Royce’s—— if I’m honest—- I can’t wait to get back at them.
Three weeks out of the life of an 87 year old is a FECKIN big chunk—— can’t afford to throw them about like confetti.

Youre not normally so unobservant Pilgrim—— it rolled over on a turn —— was inverted when the side panel tore off. Back is still on there I believe ?
Question is WHY did it roll over——— my own theory is —— lack of grunt through the turn—- there was no punch there—— it was like a lack of throttle ???
But, I’ve never been an offshore man—— I’m just a casual observer—- with a sharp eye —- an unbiased opinion and a big mouth—— which often leads me into big trouble—— !!!!
I suspect same thing on the Victory boat——— sudden lack of power — drive and “THRUTCH”——-
But, What the hell do I know—— just an opinionated old fart —- from the comfort of an armchair!

it was a very sharp maneuver that led to the roll like it hit something or engine seized, not your typical rolled it ion a turn like cats like to do

Always a reason Pilgrim—— when cats roll on corners, it’s usually because of lack of THRUTCH ,
Thats only in my opinion though!

Boat was all wet when it rolled—- wasn’t as though it was high and descending—— Gary told me nothing broke—- no drive or prop failure, and nothing was hit. Of course, that got me to thinking what else it might be ???

Gary and Lou did pop into see me today——- took an hour out of their busy schedule —- must say, I do
like it when my grandkids pop into see me!
we had a good old chat—— as he says—- with Stevie Curtis you know you’ll get silverware—- won’t always be pretty —— but he does get a result!,
Its always been the same in offshore—- Throttleman gets the credit and the driver gets the blame !

Up with the lake this morning—— or as Chas used to say “ Crack-O Sparrow”—- dreamed up a plan for fixing the fuel tank to the back end on the Rolls—— want to see if it works!
    Must be getting better!
Doc told me that I had been pretty close to pneumonia—- so I’m off for an X-ray today!

Her majesty’s sweet peas have done rather well this year —— scent is marvellous—— not sure I like all the new “HYBRIDS” really odd assortment of colours —— a lot of it, is growers trying to make a name for themselves !
Dont give a rats asse what they come up with—- they will never beat the old fashioned English sweet pea!
Went and had an XRay today—— wheezing like a steam locomotive —— if I could put it to music I’d have a number one smash hit !

Had a pretty damn good afternoon in the shop—— got all three fuel tanks mounted—- not quite worked out the filler caps yet—— but I’m close——- starting on all the bodywork and seating in the morning.
Then I’ve got to seriously start thinking about the upholstery——- I’ve acquired the leather—— black— brown and white—— have I ever done upholstery before ? —— actually— no.
But I bought a sewing machine——- and I’ve got ambition!

Lady who always did my upholstery——- bought a FECKIN sailboat——- shacked up with this Scotsman and buggered off sailing round the med for three years—— She’s in ISTANBUL at the minute—— don’t think she’d be interested in doing the upholstery for three Rolls Royce Silver Ghost’s !

I’ve run out of brass rod—— need some 25 mm for a pair of acetylene head lamps— tried working with phosphor bronze but I don’t have tooling sharp enough.
So a trip to the scrap metal recycling facility ( Scrapyard). is on the cards for tomorrow ——-
finishrd the fuel tanks complete with filler caps——- turned out to be simple in the end—— almost things tend to after a good nights sleep and a bit of thought.
