So I had this pushy bright spark rings me up and asks if he can view the PEARL OF THE EAST . ROLLER
so he turns up and looks at the five 1908 SILVER GHOSTS —- i like those — how about i buy the lot —- give me the sole agency —- i give you a fixed price —— all sales go through me ?????????

SEX AND TRAVEL SUNSHINE !!!!!! Nobody — and i do mean nobody tells me what and when i can fernagle my bits and pieces . Would have meant a few grand going into the coffers , but i love my freedom and thats never going to change . Guy went away empty handed —- but he is coming back Sunday morning to try and sweet talk me ——- well, good luck with that one .

Now comes the tricky bits —- finishing the bodywork. Making the seats and upholstery——fernagling the handbrake — gearshift—and custom box to house them. Number plate—-exhausts —hood belt—crystals for the lights —- dash instruments —- and a hundred and one things that need doing before it finally goes out of the door . Still, i have a clear and uninterrupted day to break its back.

THIEVING -ROBBING—CROOKED—BASTARDS WHO ARE THE INLAND REVENUE . Have just hit me with another £10,000 tax bill.
Was a time in England when an Englishman’s home was his castle, you could own one house —- change it whenever you like —- up or down—- you never had to pay a tax on it .
A while back , government decided they weren’t getting enough tax from the thrifty house owner . So they imposed a “HOUSE TAX” .
Below £250-000 [there is no such thing as a house below 250,000 anywhere in the uk] no tax .
above That threshold you pay anything from three to ten thousand. No escape —no ifs -buts or appeals .its the law !!!!!!!!
So, being the gentle citizen that i am — i bought a house —- just a small two bedroomed terrace house in a quiet West Sussex village . If all else fails - we had at least , a roof over our heads and it was paid for . Bear in mind— that is the only house i owned . I lived in a rented house for the next ten years .
I did rent out the house —- paid the feckin revenue people tax on every “UNEARNED INCOME” POUND I EVER RECEIVED . For the next nine years .
decided to buy a small house in my village . I was able to do this by selling the terrace house .
Of course the value has increased a fair bit [one of the reasons for buying it in the first place] It’s ok though — because its the only house i own- WRONG-WRONG-WRONG— GIMME TEN GRAND —-
England is not the place it used to be —— you have to be wealthy to even visit or travel through it these days —let alone reside here .

I use common sense at all times . [my own version]. I have been known to have got it wrong—— last time was 1980 over the introduction of the safety cell.

Well I am glad the Safety Cell became a standard in many forms of racing. I first saw a real safety cell used in the Unlimited Hydroplane boats (they copied what military fighter planes were using).

The first time I saw a Turbine powered Unlimited was in San Diego. And I got a little anxious for the Budweiser driver. He approached the corner near wide-open, and I did not know if he was going to make the turn or barrel roll. He set & hooked his skid fin and scream around the corner. Truly a high speed skill.

Gary and Lou were going to be my surprise guests at my party next Sunday. However Gary called me to say they would not be coming as Lou had a Bad fall and split her head open. After being taken to hospital and having the wound stitched , doctors advised her it would not be a good idea to fly, hence the visit being cancelled . Not the best start to the week.
All the geico toys have gone , no sign of them left at the STUART facility.
HUSKI race team will be fielding two race boats with Steve and Pat as the jockeys —- no surprise as to the throttle Man in the second rig . Been around as long as Stevie ?????
Gary and LOU will be running the team , racing begins in March —all being well.

never realised the unlimited had the safety cell first—- i always thought it was F1 cars first. I know CHRIS HODGES was working on the MACLAREN cockpit long time before we got them in boats.
