Joe Colt built the engines for the mighty mouse GEN 23. I just spent money.

I believe the Tasmanian devil was owned by Allen RIvenbark And Bill as a partner in the boat and chief driver and engine builder. And again I think that’s Just after Bill and Doug split up. There were several of those boats built if I remember correctly it was only three or four. I know her HERNAN Garcia’s had one and of course Bob Donahue bought the Tasmanian devil and raced it. I think maybe Hugh James Had one and I believe Dan Deatherage also. I know that Bill drove the boat for a while said he’d had enough of it it was a great stable boat for A kilo Run But was not as stable in rough water racing. Over 95 mph it became very flighty. I think The molds ended up in Jacksonville with Hugh James But I could be wrong on that. Anyway thank you for the wonderful article.

Didn't Dan Deatherage have a daughter, Desiree, who went on to be a Hugh Heffner centerfold? A friend of mine in Treasure Island bought Ditch Digger w/o engine from Dan, but he never had the money to do anything with it and I think it rotted in his driveway.

And by the way, Duct Taped Duff learned the art of Duct Taping from non other than the master...Gene Lanham, who had perfected the art many years before.

Wow Gene I didn’t realize you’d been gone from Miami that long you must be damn near As old as Sir Jackie Wilson L O L. I knew Mr. Rivenbark I’ve been filled out west plane crash but I didn’t realize it was right where you live in Colorado it was a lot of rumors about that. I know that his money was spread around in different things when it dried up A few business ventures went sideways. He was putting money into GNracing. Best wishes amberjack

Couple of ambitious projects on the go . First is ARTHUR MOSTERTS F1 VELDEN . This is one of three that Velden made for FRANCIOUS SALABERT ——-ARTHUR —- AND CEES VELDEN himself . Benson and HEDGES [tabacco giants] were the sponsors .
Cigarette packets were a very upmarket pale gold . Boats were a lot more YELLOW.
Second project is really ambitious —- three boats blowing pink smoke ???????? Comes with a hefty price tag if anyones interested .
Both BENNY ROBERTSON AND ARTHUR MOSTERT are people i would trust . I have offered ARTHUR the three boat concept [but he hasnt said yes yet .!!!!

You do not want to know just how much these damn things cost . Yes, i heard all about how three Dee can cut the cost of everything . Well i can tell you first hand —props are still feckin expensive !!!!!
Nobody yet has made a half decent “flying lady”—- i would not grace a single one of my Rollers with the crap i have been offered .
never was remotely successful with my 3d machine — so i gave it up as a bad job.
