    Switch boxes

I was thinking about replacing my switch boxes when I rebuild my motor here in a few weeks. Lost a cylinder so I'm just being overly cautious. Not sure which switch boxes to buy. The options I am seeing are used mercury which doesnt excite me or new Sierra. Ive not had much luck with CDI switch boxes but I was considering the blue HP ones but I have seen where they have a 6700 built in rev limiter that I don't want.

What would you use on a fresh build with a 7K limiter?

Sierra has bought out mallory. I tried to buy all the mallory switchboxes from our supplier but someone beat me to it.

I have had good luck with CDI whenever I have used them. I personally don't have a problem with CDI. Just my experience.

Mr. Bobby, how about CDI? You work on ALOT more motors than I do, what is your opinion? Thank you.

I take it you don't like them then? In the future should I stay away from them?

Mercury 332-7778A14 or CDI 214-7778R2 I can find no cross reference to Mallory or Sierra for the 260. Maybe someone else has this info. The Sierra 18-5775 is a cross reference for Mercury 332-7778A12.
