Newer SSM water pump plate gaskets vs older plate gaskets
Hope I can explain this.
so the water pump gasket on the older twin pinion SSM ( the gasket UNDER the stainless plate) it has 3 evenly spaced areas cut in the gasket under the impeller to allow for water to be sucked up through the plate. The same gasket for the newer SSM units don't have these three even spaced slots. they have a front slot that is similar and a second longer slot along one side of the gasket.
wondering how these newer gaskets will work on the older SSM's. Gaskets for the older units are NLA, but the gaskets for the newer units are still available.
anyone ever crossed this bridge before?
appreciate the info.
