Getting ready to replace my bunks. Have read that pressure treated wood and aluminum do not mix. My vertical supports that would hold the bunk are 5/16" thick aluminum brackets that they will clamp the bunk and then support it to the trailer.

My question:
Will a stainless steel barrier/think shim between the bunk bracket protect it enough? I'd go with 1/16" thick and make it as wide as the brackets on both sides.

Please advise.
