I've been hearing about the shortage in Wisconsin for a couple weeks, and my dad just had his forklift tank filled @ $3.85/gal here in Il.

It has been a cold winter here. It started early and has been pretty snowy in the beginning. My wife and I decided to get another snowmobile so we can take the kids out riding with us so we went and bought a brand new one. The day I bought it the temps went up into the 50's and the snow all melted and then it got really cold again with NO snow. I've got a brand new sled sitting in my garage for weeks now with 0 miles on it.

-34C here this morning...AND yesterday I spent 4 hours on the farm tractor blowing snow. 12mph on the GPS...and its a John Deere so it's green......

Makes natural gas seem like a deal. I think a wood stove is in the works next year.

I am thinking a wood pellet or corn heater...

So far I have spent over $4500 on propane and it's only January plus my shop still feels cold.

This winter does suck. It is the 4th day of snow here in West Virginia. We have over a foot now. Supposed to get very windy in in the negatives tonight. Its been crappy, starting to get cabin fever and am ready for the spring so I can do some fishing and get outside!!!

I hate propane. It's cheaper all year long, until it gets cold, then the price goes up.

I want to build a house when I am rich and famous that takes next to no power to heat or cool.

I work outside and it's been an old fashioned winter I haven't even gone snowmobiling yet might finally go this weekend fired up the sno twisters tonight I have almost gone threw my firewood supply and I had a lot I have gone threw more wood this year then the last two years combined my woodburner has not been on since first week in November and Eli is right propane is $6.50 a gallon by my dad yikes

Ya got some more wood last week, same deal. Good thing a buddy is a logger 2 1/2 cords of dry processer cut to what ever length Fir, pine, and Larch $200.00. Checked the propane today ordered $400.00 worth good till fall. I hope.

I wouldn't mind the cold so much if it would snow. At least I could break out the ATV or go riding in my 4X4. 24 degrees and we barely got a dusting.

Frozen down here in south La. I had to chip off the ice from the windshield, door glass and mirrors today just to go to the store. Regular ice scraper wouldn't do the job, had to pore hot water on the ice first. There are icicles on my boat cover.
