Hey cossie69, boat is coming along nicely. I haven't gotten any pics yet, I am at the point where I had a lot of things assembled for testing and so forth but have now pulled a few things back apart for finish paint work. powerhead is assembled and wired with the exception of reed block and carburetors. I had to go help a friend with a surprise project for his girlfriend today so I didn't get much done. I will be getting on it hard again tomorrow and hopefully it will be pretty outside so I can roll it out and snap a couple pics for ya.

    Cool Update w/pics

I got a slow start today because I felt like being lazy and sleeping in for a change.
I got to the shop and cleaned the boat empty of all the trash and patterns and pieces of wire and junk. Then I thought I would wash the boat and truck so I could have a nice working area so I did, then popped a couple pics. Now I am going to get the deck lids sanded and ready to prime. I have decided to paint them with some grey stone guard that matches the carpet closely so they will have a textured appearance and won't stand out too bad against the carpet. Once they are ready I will get the hinges mounted to the deck and then lay carpet over the hinge and mount deck lids. I am really hoping to have some reeds this week so I can fire this thing up!

    A little more...

I got the rear deck carpet installed, mounted the deck lids and carpet on them, carpet on the cooler/bait box and lid, carpet on the front deck compartment lid, then got the center seat post mounting area rebuilt with some extra support. Will get it painted and carpeted tomorrow as well as getting the other two rear lids carpeted and mounted. Hopefully my engine parts arrive tomorrow and I will get it fired up in the next night or two.

I got my aluminum dash panel and front switch panel etched and painted Friday I think, forgot to take pics but will do it tomorrow. I am hoping to get the gauges wired and helm filled with fluid and bled tomorrow night.

    Another update!

Got the hydraulic steering filled and bled, then finished getting the carpet put down. And while I am trying to write this there is a big add for American Apparel in the middle of my damn screen blinking and covering almost everything I am typing so I guess I gotta just wing it. I'd write more but the add has officially annoyed me..look at the pics and I will try again another time.

Just a great way to start the day.

Such a beautiful morning. I got the urge to get the boat out of the shop and snap a few new pics and get a video of it firing up. I still haven't fine tuned the timing and carbs yet. Waiting on my lower unit to get back from being assembled then I can cone it and get it installed for a little ride time.
