    Mercury 150 Rev limiter

    Hi, i have 150 mercury 2002 (serial OT579147) and i'd like to know where is the engine rev limiter and can i turn it off? Does anybody know how to do that?
    My engine has control module part nr 3181-857185-a1

    Yes.. i know that, but can i turn the limiter off? Do i have to remove the hole controll module from use or just part of it?

    Don't know if your motor is carb or EFI, but I know my 2005 carb is the modular CDI ignition and you can't remove the limiter or the system won't work at all. Rev limit on mine is 5900.

    Mine is 2002 CARB. I know that there's some differences between 2001 and 2002, that mercury made, but don't know what they are ??
