What have used to stuff the passage btw the Chambers?
Why no overboard hose from the poppit valve fitting?

Thanks for your inputs!
Ring gaps were all set per manual and still looks good.(to me at least)
If I run the 70hp stats as suggested, do I remove all outside hoses including the diverter valve?
Do you have the numbers for these parts (stats, springs, caps)
Perhaps I haven`t allowed it to warm up enough before throttling up?

To fill/bridge the gap in the heads I use quick jb-weld (don't need to mold the sides just work quick)
Can use marine Tex or equivalent take some putty to mold the sides if you don't use a quick hardening.
No diverter or blowoff I tap the block on each side
Used the 70hp thermostat covers and springs used same thermostat
Have plenty of pics
Ok not sure why pic of where I tapped the block for water tells it is at the bottom of post but..

. Hose on each side
??how long is is running before you hit the gas with a load and take off
How warm is the motor?
I don't think the extreme is as strong or adhere as well as the regular I tried it on some stuff and it didn't hold up..
Think it's good for extreme heat application but not as strong.

Heres some random pics..
These four are why I went with Boyesen reeds and what happens when motor ate a Reed..

Think I have a video or two maybe of the old powerheads with the exhaust drilled/filed in the lower unit but think it's only at like 4500rpm...only ones of the new ones are just starting and revving a little at the dock or
If you want I'll find them and post themLETS GO BRANDON.... LETS GO BRANDON

If you have added the control valve to the closed deck that is fine but I would install the newer style thermostats. You said ring gaps ok what were they?

Just remember the ear plugs if you open the lower like that. Plus if you do it like that you can size them for plugs like bilge plugs. In the past I cut oval holes and made plates with thru bolts to plug them up.

He is not kidding I do keep ear plugs and headsets for anyone in the back..With no airboxes and vents on the front of the cowls it is loud!.. not family tubing friendly
usually there is never anyone sitting back there and if the hatch is on not sitting back there anyway..
Just being 3-4 ft farther in front seats does make a big difference. I sat back there once holy sh** ...only onceLast edited by mrichartz; 11-16-2018 at 02:16 PM.

power! I’ve thought about that too!! Thats how they are on most small dirtbikes, and together with a single L-shaped dykes ring you can get them really high! However on my looper application it means that I must open the f/p’s from being behind the liner to a slotted shape, which I think is bad for velocity!??
Please correct me if my reasoning doesn’t add up!
