    Ok, but how does the water get into the exhaust housing, if not throught these holes?

    There are holes in the adapter plate that need to be plugged with epoxy. Then the water needs to be rerouted out the side and away from the motor. I usually drill an 1/8" hole in the epoxy for a lake motor to keep the paint from burning on your mid. You can adjust the overflow to help keep heat in the motor. maybe someone on here has one off they can take a picture. As far as that tuner you will need to cut that way back if you plan on a snout. The water pump will be exposed but I have never melted one.

    My brother managed to melt the hell out of one on is 15" mid drystacked. It still ran but the housing was trashed. I always aim the dumps at the water pump to keep it cool.

    I think that's a 2.7 adapter, I've never dealt with one of those. You can stick a water hose in the top were the water drains out of the heads and see where it comes out the bottom. You'll probably have to take the water inlet plate off the bottom.

    I've cut my first fingerport during this afternoon, came out fine, will post some pics later.
    concerning the holes in the side of the liner; they are the only way in for the water that enters the exhaust! In my case, since I have drilled the holes in the mid(just below the pan)all the way throught, gives water four entrances into the exhaust.

    Port bank accomplished!
    I need some advice on port timing;
    the main transfers open slightly earlier than the boostport, how about the fingers?
    should I set the fingerports like the boost, aimed at the sparkplug?

    Could you give us a walk through on how you cut these finger ports ? Did you use a jig , pattern layout , freehand ? They look nice and straight and uniform, good job ! My guess is they should open at the same time as the boost port.

    Go back in this thread and you will see some pictures showing how they are done, I will post some more to show the procedure.

    I'm kinda confused. What dumps are you talking about?
