Theres a STV/e-tec in Florida that is as fast as that SL250 . Pretty impressive for a fishing motor on a family boat and THERES MORE IN IT thats a fact . I got the text pic of the GPS a couple weeks ago. Judging by both videos it looks like the STV accelerates faster too

Don't go getting all hyped on the etec a dang gamefisher outboard will make a STV fly just saying its the boat not the motor I would be glad to discuss this some more by the fire Friday or Saturday night

Funny thing is Andy and Monty are like the generals in the merc/etec battle and neither one of them ever get on here to defend their brand loyalty. They just let all their little soldiers do all the fighting on here

I love that little 200xs but I have to give credit where its equaly do. Them white motors have my respect too

I dont think the weight would make a lot of difference on the top end. In fact, the heavier boat would be my preference at those speeds. Pretty sure Andy's motor is stock. I would be surprised if Gordons is stock. None of these V6 motors impress me anyway...

My mate Bob's fiddled yam V4 ran a 2 way average of 75.5 on a 20ft V-hull, you'd have liked the sound that thing made!

Drivers 200 runs VERY well seen it run many times but the little 200 its 10mph short but gets 10mpg!

Due to the fact a 280 cant accelerate with Gordon's I doubt they'd waste their time humoring the clueless. Now that doesnt mean Andy doesnt have a motor that will run with it
