81/82 solid white tunnel. Was rebuilt by a pair of brothers, from Chippawa lake MI.That motor just kept stringing out forever. They liked to run a mile and a half, or two miles, there top end number just kept ticking higher, the farther we would run.

Does anyone have a picture of the 3cyl OMC with the same style cowling (air vents up the middle) as the strangler? I've tried looking around but I can't find anything.

The really cool picture of those engines is with the cowl off. The Super Strangler as well as the Johnson version, the StingerGP were 8 barrels. The engines were awesome looking from the front at all those carb throats.

Really? You have a motor pushing 170hp and you want one of those?....... They were 75hp and great running engines, but a little short of what you have!

The Johnson stinger back then was a 4 BBL. version . The model was a KC13R Built in the early 70's. I had one. It also had a 1to1 gearcase. Before that i had a 1968 Evinrude X-115.
