The yami powered action that don Johnson couldn't drive u rreally think there's a bay linner that will really out run a 19action use your head here
put your strongest Mtr u can get together in that donzi I'll jump in a 19 action with a stock 1988 omc looper n let's have our own race nixxon to Gilbert's cuz I'm sure u can out run the bay linner Btr yet I got a 18 whaler if your donzi can beat that I'll fill your tank

It was made for tv as for the donzi it is where it already was on the trailor no bayliner could touch an action that bayliner sounded like a drag car. The donzi was a runner I have no idea what this water logged engine is but it had some power. Manual steering its probably viewed as junk but I had one good run in it and then it died round bottom and all. The boat could use a deck off restoration and on a budget it is hard. Who where and how much, at least all that was done is paid for. I ran a DaveS L6 on a rally sport and then a checkmate for 5yrs down here and this donzi came along 3 rides in 2+yrs. When and if I get this thing together 70 with the rounded bottom and how fast I can get there still hunting a cresent ss alpha. Rick

In all fairness to that shows producers, there are only a handfull of people that would listen to the sound of twin Bridgeports and know THAT sound, versus a single big block Chevy with thru hull exhaust. Most of that audiance would more impressed with the inboard sound.
That said, most all of us know better, but we are not the majority. I don't know of ANY motor that sounds better than and old Bridgeport!Last edited by rkmirage; 02-07-2014 at 10:46 PM.

old thread - but holy **** I love the "sun deck" on that talon with the vent looking pieces on each side.. One of the coolest boats I've ever seen - which is likely why Crockett drove it.
