Yep, central California is right. Saw this rig a few weeks ago when I was working on his Alison/300x.
The drag boat is beautiful and he put quite a bit of work into fixing the hull. The transom had a huge void in it so there was nothing to bolt the engine/jack plate to...
But the boat is immaculate now, all set up with the digital dash, 24v trim/starting etc. Boat does 126 mph in the 1/4 mile.

I’m friends with the guy that builds Bill’s engines, I’ve heard all the stories about that hull. I did not want to start a poop show on this thread. But that is the truth, it was a major issue with that hull.

I will ask today but I haven’t heard anything about him wanting to sell the boat.

Is there a big difference between this boat and Jacks QS1s? They "look" similar.

I only know of one type of Quartermaster. Jack has different versions of his Quartershot. I know a racer in Lake Havasu AZ. that said he was thinking about selling his Quartershot. Yesterday I asked him if he was selling it for sure and he said no I’m not selling. He sent me a text later and said “if someone came up with enough money I would think about it”

Yeah there's nothing wrong with talking about the problems...they were there and they were fixed better than new by one of the best glass/carbon people in the world...
Yeah there's no way Bill will ever sell that boat, or his STV.
You mean this stv...its upside down getting faster rn
