Ya if you get the chance do. other than the lip slowing you down plastics tend to fail not while going easy and testing it but when they are pushed to their limits such as your boat doing 70-75mph at which point it would likely be ripped off and cause many problems.

I really don't see how it could go anywhere and it says it's rated for up to a 225 hp merc. I can't swing a nose cone right now. It will babe to do for now and I don't get to run wot that much fishin. I have a hard time catching fish at 65 mph. Lol

Yes that is what my boat is for. i have never taken it out to just run without at least a few minutes of fishing. I got lucky when i bought my boat it came with the nose cone but none of the other parts for it. probably got stripped of its high speed parts by the last owner. anyways i since have added the custom jackplate, gt parts, srx prop(which is great for going fast lightly loaded but not with a fishing load), a skid plate under the jackplate, and a copy of a bman foil. all i have left to get is a fishing prop so when im loaded with 2 people and gear my motor doesn;t bogged down. i fish college tournaments and local tournaments and am proud of the fact that my 30 year old 17ft boat is able to stay in the pack of the bigger cookie cutter boats on takeoff.

Honestly in this area you need to find a good prop man and as far as the trophy versus fury i have always been recommended the trophy.

i had a 19 and it was undrivable with a speedo pickup on the transom little things can cause a big problem

yep mine was taken off the day i got the boat and the holes have been filled flushed and polished down.

Mine would try to get on the pad and the speedo would snatch it off to one side took for ever go figure it out but once I did it was a whole new boat I think the best I got was 71 it would run68 eevery time out xr6 150 24 trophy plus about 1" down with stock case top two holes plugged .best I remember its been awhile
