    Transom knees on mx-15

I have just finished rebuilding a 1972 checkmate mx-15 and was wondering if it would be wise to install transom knees. Since the boat does not have any stringers I was told this would have an adverse effect on the hull/coring, is this true?

Doing the same thing on the tri-mate. Since the factory only installed a center stringer on my boat, and I am adding knees I will have to add stringers. This can be done. You just have to spread the load out. Mine will have to be short ( to fit under the floor) and they will be run forward as far forward as I can manage. The checkmate hull is WAY over built.

Do you have any pictures of the rebuild. I would love to see them.
