    150 mercury water pick up tube

    Hey guys I have the power head mounted going to install the lower unit and the water pick up. Anyone have any suggestions on how got get the rubber gromit (seal) up in the bore with out pulling the powehead back off.

    Put it on the water tube.. then stick it up where it belongs!

    Just did mine. put on water tube and install in motor.

    Skipe how do you keep it from sliding on the water tube or did yours go right in?

    There's a lip on the seal to keep it from sliding down the tube....use a little WD-40 on the seal and it should slide right in, but don't "drive" it in or you may push it too far and restrict flow.
