Adding cup to a propeller at home

I have a small aluminum prop that was hacked up by someone attempting to do a modification. They basically ground the blade faces flat. I want to use the prop as a back up but it now hits the rev limiter. I would like to add some cup so the prop is at least some use.

How can I do this at home? Anyone try it? It does not need to be perfect as anything will be an improvement.

Aluminum props are easy to bend but difficult to keep from cracking!
The castings are normally VERY poor and never end up as good as new... even after a professional repairs it!!!
Take small hits with the hammer and slowly bend the blade until it's where you want it.
Try to visually match all blades ...... that's probably the most difficult thing to get right?

I have a 3 ball hitch, great, you can decide which ball fits the blade and bang away.

I use a small to moderate ball peen brass hammer, it doesn't seem to 'bend' the alum so hard at each impact site, lessening instant cracking.

Has anyone tried balancing a prop using a mower blade balancing cone. I was told by a marina that they use one after filing nicked blades. Gary
