You can get a pretty good finish spraying with a primer tip (larger) but like they said it all has to sanded and buffed.

I have a ES G100 Gel Coat Spray Gun with many different size nozzles and a HVLP Spray Gun 1.5 nozzle. I seam to get a smother finish with the HVLP Spray Gun but I think the nozzle is to small to get a good wet film thickness. I was going to get a 2.5 nozzle and give it a try. Any subjections for either Gun, Nozzle size, air presser, mixing of gel-coat?

I am using Seahawk products: Gel-coat White Premium, Neutral Gel-coat, Black Gel-coat, Patch Aid, Styrene Reducer.

All striping is done, sanded and ready to spray the Clear HI-UV Gel-coat over the top, hoping to get a better finish than I have in the past, looking for some input.<O></O>Last edited by Hydro200merc; 10-06-2013 at 02:50 PM.

Hydraulic Pump Mounting Bracket
I have fabricated a bracket to mount the Trim Pump and Hydraulic Pump for the Jack Plate to. I sandwiched the rear build head between the fuel tank and the hydraulic pump bracket. I utilized the same mounting holes for ease of removal. I am putting a Bob's 6" Set-Back Hydra Jack plate and a Single Ram Trim Bracket. Is this a good Trim Pump to use with a Single Ram Trim Bracket?

Clear HI-UV Gel Coat
I picked up a different HVLP Spray Gun 2.5 nozzle. I seam to get a decently smother finish still a bit wave. It is a little bit slow going to get a good wet film thickness.
