exhaust temperature on the pyrometer on EFI 2,5 ros

Hello. Do any know the exhaust temperature on an efi 2.5 ros 1998 with pyrometer.

When i go about 5-7000 rmp the temperature on pyrometer is 1100 celcius degree and the gauge go to max 1200 c`.

The water pressure is about 12 PSI on gauge.

The engine is on a tunnel boat a Hydrolift Sportcat 22 from 1994.

    Kindly Lasse

1050-1100 F is what you should try to have at Wide Open Throttle. Pyros tend to give a false reading at less than wide open in many instances. Aluminum tends to melt at anything above 1100 degrees but the actual exhaust gas temp can be significantly higher.
