Did Yamaha change the plate below the impeller on the water pump. Noticed my old plate had one 1/2 moon notch and the new plate I received has 2 1/2 moon notches in it. The plate my lower takes looks like the 4 stroke SHO plates, the long one that goes up and around the shift shaft.

Any one know why they changed the plate or did they just send the wrong one? Every thing looks the same except the notches the water comes through to the impeller.

Will this work on my lower? The slots are in the same place just two instead of one or will it cause the pump to draw air? My lower just has the pickups down on the nose.
