Efi 2.5 race RPM 6000 missing rmp overheating

After running the Quicksilver DDT tester, we have a few things to sort out. When running the auto self test, all chapters injectors, sensors etc. says Pass= normal function.

When we chek the break-in status it says engine is in (break-in 4minutes) this engine is without autolube, does engine brake-in mode do anything else than ajust the oil injection ? reduce RPM ?

When select the 7-RPM Limit it says all off, but when enter the menu in says RPM limiter active due to overheating, the we press help to get the diagnose it says chek all ground connecters,is that a “common answer for this diagnose ? or can it be a malfunction temp. sensor or etc.

    Kindly
    Anders Blacha

If your ROS has been "reset" OR is new and hasn't reached a break in point it will run lazy until that point has been reached. It would be hard to understand why a 5 year old motor/ecu has not been ran long enough to reach break-in UNLESS someone has set the ECU on "re break-in" then you'd have to start all over again with the long brake-in.....

Hello best Company Jay Smith Racing. What is ROS short for ?
Does break-in adjust anything else that the quantity of oil ?
The DDT tell us that break in mode deliver more oil during the break-in and nothing else, but this engine does not have autolube system (premix)
Kindly Anders. The ecu has been repaired and maybe this way its in break in mode. I try to let it run more.Kindly Lasse

Hi Iv saw this on a mercury 525efi yesterday also, it was excactly 4min left brakein on a engine that had some 80hours on it, think this is just a programming fault the have done. Do you have the right cartridge for this engine? A good idea is to skip the auto selftest, go straigth to data monitor and see all the valies there like temp sensor for air and sylinder heads are quite equal and true to the outside temp when the engine has not been used. When you say ecm has been repaird, what does that mean? Best regard Anders

The ROS ECU does not care about the overheat alarm, from what I remember.
