Dave Packer bought the boat around 1976. I towed it to Coos Bay Oregon and put in on a lumber barge bound for Honolulu. It took about 3 weeks to arrive, I partnered with Dave together we put a V-6 on it and ran a few races in Hawaii. Twistercraft Restoration
So, Lil Red returned to the mainland and was fully restored correct? I remember seeing the restoration photos here. The photos taken with the aft and nose cowls removed were kind of startling. Lil Red didn't look like anything more than a modern day paddle board with a huge engine mounted to it! How much freeboard did this boat have at rest with a T3 mounted on the back? I'm guessing it was very little.
