Twistercraft #3 Lil/Little Red
Here are a number of shots of Lil/Little Red. Most have been posted before but a couple may not have been. Interesting in that it ran with four different engines. First the C6 then the TII, TIIX, and finally the T3. Thanks to Mark Rotharmel for the shot of Spalding running in Canada.

I put down St. Louis 1974 but it was 1975 when he was running the T3. He did say he ran it a fair amount.

Lil/Little Blue
Lil/Little Blue was the fourth boat built. Duey Berghauer set a kilo record with it in 1973. Willabee and Chick Gagen have the history of it and how it ended up in FL and further points south.

The boat was built with aluminum screws and many are corroded and need to be replaced. If this was anything other than a static display a lot more work would need to be done to make it seaworthy.

Rich: My concern was not so much with the screws, I understand they are there for clamping pressure, but it was for the areas around some of them. With the evidence of moisture there is some dry rot in the screw areas that has degenerated over time and I suspect some glue joints may be compromised. If the boat were ever to go in the water I wouldn't do it without a detailed internal structural inspection. Also the bottom has a lot of scarring and a repair that was done, I would say rather quickly.

.....static display???..... this may be a dumb question...but why not go the extra steps and make it water worthy for in water displays and exhibition running?
