    what's your view?

At the risk of starting a brand war..... Which I don't want to do! What would you guys consider the greatest engine of modern Times and why? I guess it is regarding Dave Bush's view that the 300xs is the last great motor.

I understand that not everyone has driven every motor.

I love etecs and I own a 150ho and think it's awesome. Flawless reliability with great power delivery and fuel consumption. I have driven a few 225's but for me the 200ho just clenches it with loads of low end and mid!

I am hoping to try a 250 ho soon but until then the 200ho etec has my vote.

To add I would be really interested from a tech point of view as far as working on them too.

Unit's capable of 10,000 running hour's. In particular the BF 250A Honda. Cutting edge technology. Replacment part's that are 50% less in price. You can't see it, smell it or hear it running. Damn it's also one of those green engines. Thank's Martin

Its easy to say which is superior when you have the capability to work/adjust one, and not the other

Take a guess what my vote is......

Well, I sell five lines of outboard motor's. Including Mercury,Evinrude,Yamaha,Honda, and Suzuki. Having been in the marine industry since 1972 I have seen quite a bit of change. Just as when a customer comes into my store and think's he is the first to ask "which one is the best". Well, Mercury is the fastest in more way's than one. Evinrude is equal to the Merc's and have torque. Yamaha is the most popular, and Suzuki is the most powerful, not to be confused with speed. And Honda is the best combination of all. A five year non declining warranty, fuel mileage beyond your greatest expeciation's. But since this is a performance forum I would think that all anyone is interested in is speed. So let's give the title of greatest ever to the two stroke's. Thank's Martin
