    Considering the amount of work Darren did to make those engines live/run it should not even be posted near an e-tec thread. Bolting a box stock powerhead on and putting e-tec cowlings on is well... easy.... Just ask me

    HE throws away all the factory DI JUNK and starts over and goes from there. It is a huge project and to top it all off he makes them live under that load for an hour + of wide open throttle TOWING! If I was him I would take my keys and scratch e-tec off the cowling because theres no factory help. He has worked very hard and it shows.

    Well I suppose after making that comment you may like to suggest the same to the THOUSANDS & THOUSANDS of highly after market modified [EPA Illegal] MERCURY Outboards out there just waiting for your call.


    IN FACT this wonderful website probably would not exist without the input of thousands of enthusiasts whose life revolves around getting that extra MPH or RPM from their highly modded "STOCK" motors.

    The site allows you to type your own thread title. I guess I didnt make the point clear?

    EPA or not has nothing to do with those videos or the motors running in them. The thread says e-tecs so anyone expecting an e-tec to run like that will be very disappointed.

    Stock BRP junk will never run like that.. period.. I've tried a few of em on my boat almost 200hrs of stock ONLY etec powerheads within a year. All I'm saying is he worked very hard to make them RUN. If a stock e-tec would run like his there would be a ton of people running them.

    Knowing what it takes to make a 3.3 EFI run vs boltting an actual "E-tec" on is not even on the same planet.

    I'm sorry to hear about your picture album. It was probably the best OMC collection on the web. If those motors are E-tec that means Diamond motors are stock 200 EFI's

    Think about what you have posted there....... Highly modded STOCK. It's one or the other. By definition if you modify anything it's no longer stock.
