3" Setback Jackplate From R&R Design

I did not know that anything was available new with 3" setback. Anyone have experience with R&R?

The R&R site does not give a lot of information. Do you adjust them with a socket, screw style? How much up and down travel? Thanks.

    My personal experience with R & R:

I got a USED R & R ladder for my new (to me) 25' Talon. It was missing one of the rubber sleeves that goes on the lower step to make it slip resistant and the sticker on the side of it was scratched up. I called R & R and asked if the rubber sleeves were available. She said she'd send me a pair. I asked how much and she said she'd just send 'em. I told her that I did not buy the step directly from R & R, and as a matter of fact bought it used. She said it didn't matter and wouldn't even let me pay the shipping. In several days I got a pair of the sleeves plus a new sticker to go on the back, so now it looks new, and R & R didn't let me pay a penny. I never mentioned the internet or my association with Scream and Fly, so this was just a clean gesture on their part to support their product line. In today's world I don't think there are many companies that offer this level of support. They're now at the top of my list for anything that they sell that I could use.

they adjust with a socket/wrench. You can do it from inside the boat. They move like butter.
I am not totally sure on the movement but it is a least 5 inches.
    Hope this helps.

Thanks guys for the feedback. You certainly don't see customer service like that anymore. Nice to hear and awesome to adjust from inside the boat.

    Greg,

I had the 3" on my old Liberator 21. It was a very nice piece.

I have a pair of RnR on my Daytona 22. I agree with Double Rigged, they are like butter.

They don't come polished, so be prepared to spend some time polishing or powder coat.

I also included the process I use for penetrations. I sleeve the transom with schedule 80 Stainless Steel pipe.

Thanks, I have a tendency to overkill things. I lined my bilge with 1/4" aluminum plate and put threaded inserts in. This allowed me to bolt the oil tanks and batteries to the aluminum.

I run R&R plates on all my boats!... They do offer custom powercoating just ask. I have them powercoat the plate black and leave the side clamp plates bare, looks better and takes less polishing after they sit in the water for extended periods of time.

I think they may be the only shop making a 3" setback that you can adjust from inside the boat. Very nice. They should sharpen there website, but then again good product and customer service travels fast.
