    bit of metal on lower unit drain plug

    is it acceptable to have a little metal on the drain plug on the lower i just changed my oil an there was a little bit of fine graphite like stuck to the plug. no shards or pieces

    cool deal i didnt change the oil for some time till now, how much in an out play should there be on the prop shaft

    There is no real spec on propshaft end play. On most of them, there is no thrust shim anyway so there is not much you can do about it. I set my lower with the thrust ring up at .020". The ones without the ring will have anywhere from .020" to .060" from what I've seen. If it's way too loose, it could be a worn thrust surface on the shaft. That would be very uncommon.

    yea figure at most it is a 1/4 inch at most not grinding or slipping its good

    1/4" is way too much. Your clutch dog will disengage with that much end play.
