    1:10 Scale outboard

Hi I am looking for two 1:10 - 1:8 scale looking electric outboards that could handle brushless power. I have been looking around for a while but can't find any. Anyone know where I should look?

    Thanks.

IMO the Hobbyking Hornet Formula-1 has the best looking motor. But, it is kinda cheap. I mean junky. It comes with a brushless motor and ESC, but it fried after about four battery packs. Then, I swapped in a car esc and motor, and when I used reverse I spun the drive shaft out and lost it to the bottom of the lake along with my prop. I don't think you can get just the motor, you have to buy the whole kit from hobbyking.com. They have a USA warehouse so you should be able to get one there.

The ProBoat Stilletto motor is a real nice unit, but it is heavy, and on back order (from Horizon Hobby). Part number PRB4020 if you do some searching, you should be able to find it. But, you are gonna need a big hull to support two of them because they are very heavy.
