    What do I have?

Figured I'd ask here because my Google searches seemed to keep popping S&F threads up

    I brought this home yesterday.

Seller said it's a '69 Renken (title says '72) and it has a Renken data plate, listing model "600AA" stamped into it. I cannot find any model 600AA references online. The data plate is screwed (not rivited) into a place that does not look "OEM" so I am suspicious.

The title says the model is an Renken too. (edit: I originally put AQUA because I'm a dummy and was looking at the trailer title)'

    Any guesses?

    Thanks!

    Dave

Do not stop to quickly on the road, boat may go thru your back window very easily.
In our part of the world, something very similar was called a Mach-1, but that would not be what it was originally called

Back in the day there were a few boat manufacturers that made splash copies of the Glastron GT-150. This is my '72 GT-150

Any way to tell if it's a "real" Glastron? Assuming the data plate is made up, that is.

I can tell it's not just by looking at it. The boat is probably closer to the GT-160 model because of the upswept stern.

No, I am not happy with how this was set up, but I'll be fixing that.

Close but no cigar!--Not saying its not a knockoff. But the GT150 dosen't have the duck tail spoiler, at rear. But close enough that I think there was a little splashing going on-----In the day, the GT was a very popular boat, and the incentive to copy it was going strong.

Looks like they were aiming to copy the GT-160.

I'd have to say its a splash of a GT150 just by looking at the shape of the sides with the only real difference is the rear spoiler . Not very close to a GT160.
