Lookin Good,
very capable looking rig so tell me about this Elliott Key deal hard to get to? much eye candy? it's close to my moms closest ramp at black point, we went there to ceasers creek many times to fish but never saw any "hot boats" or "crew" . ready to learn some new grounds. fun out

I've been going to Elliot for years. It's not hard to get to. If you take Black Point just head east/southeast to avoid the grassflats. If you go due east you will run into them, but the markers run the perimeter of it so if you see the SHALLOW markers in front of you, just head south until you see the last one. From the last one if you turn southeast and continue you should hit elliot key/sands cut sandbar. There will be some eye candy there and maybe a handful of "hot" boats. The quality of people there has degraded over the years though. Just make sure to get to Black Point before 10am or you will be sitting in line for the ramp for about 30mins to an hour.

I would suggest looking at an aerial photo from Google Earth to get an idea of your course before you run it though, just to be safe. Maybe it will refresh your memory from years ago.

thanks Tony! I remember running just north of where the sponge boats were working. now that I'm making a couple of nickles again I'm lookin foreward to hitting the area, the parents have decided to stay there, so I'm thinking there's going to be some years of looking in and I'm gonna need an outlet.

It's about 7 miles out, and 7 miles back. Worst part is black point has a really long channel. They have actually shortened it with new "resume normal operation" markers that cut it down a few markers. Getting back is the easy part, just head for the south side of the big trash mountain.
