1986 Mercury Black Max carburetors, need help.
I am trying to get carb kits with the main jets and idle jets, the problem is that my jets are .078 for the mains and .044 for the idles, but these size jets only show up on 175hp and up from the research I have done. Does anyone know the size jets for a standard 150hp black max or a kit that brings the jets. I believe my engine is 1986 150hp black max, but the serial number comes up as a 135/150hp on mercury's part site.
Thank you.Last edited by David@mpys; 06-14-2013 at 10:12 PM.

Post the serial # so wee can look it up.
Double check the # vs the # on the soft plug on the engine block, if different post that also.

This is number on the freeze plug on top of the plug B117155 and this is the one on the midsection 6625615. This third number is on the side of the block 858 834 6-C3.
