you will need to trim the inner liner in a stock cowl to clear the air compressor.

Thanx Todd, then a 300xs will bolt on to my 300 promax mids and fit in their cowls with a little trim work in the compressor area.

So were talking 300pm converted with a drop on 300XS right. Not 300X though this would also work for the 300X? Just seeing if I got this correct. I wouldnt need a Taylor mid for the 300PM though to go 15 from 20 its a good way to go over cutting. Also is there weight savings useing a 300PM mid over the stock 300xs mid? Im guessing going taylor 15 inch mid would be the lightest way to go. Also can the 300PM stock trim pump work with the 300XS drop on?

You are correct the 300 Pro Max and 300X mids are the same. The Taylor mid is built the same. Not sure about the weight savings.... if I remember correct the 15 taylor can is the same as the 300PM/300x can and they are more than a 300xs. The 3 ram trim will not work with the 15" Tayor can.

Yes, the 28 has 300 pm's, if I could just put 300xs drop-ons and carve my cowls a little, I'd be a real happy camper.

Adam, I coulda swore I heard you talking about some 300xs drop-ons that were available.

Is that real complicated, I have a hammer. (opti water pickup?) I'm familiar with the 300pm, not the opti.

Stephen, hammers are best used to fix Evinrudes If using the X adapterplate- where the 3/4" plug is on the left side you will need to plumb two lines ( one to the fuel rail, one to the compressor ) into the adapter plate. You will also need to swap the long motor studs over from the X to the XS.

Adam, thats good news, I didn't think you could fix an Evinrude.

10-4 on the water plumbing, Do you know anyone that wants to give away some powerheads? Thanx
