i dont know if you have a vegas or one of the lighter yt hulls. but you should try a 26 or 28 chopper in my opinion. you will have to shorten the splines a little to fit your motor. splines are easy to remove with a hole saw.

The YT hulls are all 17' 9". Valero, V-King, Vasarette etc.
I agree, 26 or 28 chopper, 14.25" as long as you have a jack plate and can run it high enough. A Trophy Plus would work well too.The Reverend, (Cedar Machine Service on Facebook)

28 Original Raker will work nice as well. On the closed bow YT tunnel we ran right @ 80 mph with a 175 crossflow. We skied with that prop as well.

Depends what you want to do with the boat...speed or cruise. I ran a 27" SRX for my top end prop and it came out of the hole pretty strong. I also ran a 25" four blade Predator as an all around prop. Would do 85 with the SRX and about 80 with the Predator.

I ran a 30 mazco re3 on mine with a 150 Yamaha. A little slow out the whole but ran great on top end. I tried about 10 prop of all sizes and kinds they all pushed it in the 70s but when I put the mazco on it it 84.6 I think it was sold the boat about two years ago. Just to give you a heads up keep an eye on the bottom for any cracks mine split right down side the pad. The core was gone but floor transome were good

I agree check the core and transom first before you try to go fast. I just had to do a full rebuild on my 86 valero yt last year. I run 8" of set back and can run 90 with a 28 A5 chopper and a johnson 235. 85 with 4 people aboard. You'll need a nose cone with a lwp and to run the prop shaft even with the pad to start and then raise the motor up keeping an eye on the water pressure till you find the sweet spot.
