    Cool Laser 3880 completed resto. take a look if you like laser

    i completed my resto, on this 1990 laser hull. Weight cut back to aprox 950 hull wt. New composite floor stringer and solid transom. Addition of bottom work, all new everything wires switches pro hyd steering and New to me used Merc but you couldnt tell from looking at it...100 hrs on engine... Rides like a dream and have new prop to try in a week or so.... Motor came with small prop but still fun to play with.... Original gelcoat... wet sanded twice, buffed and polished.....

    That is great I have a 88 3880 Flippin model also, How bad was your transon And floors.

    Wasn't as bad as I thought... I was in there so replaced it all. Transom had seperated from glass but wasnt rotted bad, gutted it and composited it at local shop. Did the rest of glass at local shop also... My laser had the Kevlar from Mr huff in Texas when built...... Your boat is in pretty good shape and looks like it is well taken care of.... the main thing is water soaked flotation had a lot of weight in water under floor..... I pulled boat apart because floor was rotting by the 2 drains infront of seats it was getting weak. then i found the rest of the problems.... Figured fix while im in it and get at least 10+ more years out of it....

    by the way,,, what engine do you have and speeds do you get?? just Curious.... I use to work for boat dealer in 90's when they were still being made... made several trips to pick up boats in Roanoake from mr HUff. Sold them in south Louisiana

    Just put on a 92 200 omc , still workin on the set up . all kinds of little problems , but I think it will be good , I,ll post some # as soon as the weather Clears ..Boat seems solid,

    Nice boats, and a very sound hull design that seems to do everything pretty well... I'd like have one that's been redone nicely...
