    Yamaha 115 2 Stroke massaging

After completing the 40 Yamaha project , looking to massage a 115 hp 2 stroke yamaha, this motor is on a re-worked and lightened '79 Hewes Redfisher 18...

    Was thinking the following

Heads plan on shaving them 1.5 mm

Carbs open to suggestions on jetting it is the same carburetors on 115/130

The inner exhuast cover is the same between the two

The tuner is the same 115/130

Blocks are the same also so that rules out port timing

The purpose is to pop it out of the hole as quick as possible and a great cruise speed of around 4500 rpm

If you want to greatly improve holeshot, get a set of intake stuffers from a 225 Special and then stuff the crankcase side of the intake with epoxy. Chris Crason reeds. Clips the rev limiter wire and prop it for about 6400.

I used PC-7. It is a very thick 1:1 ratio. I have used it in several applications and am very happy. Most Ace Hardware stores carry it which is convenient.

Better late than never, finally getting on track for the 115 build

I scored a set of 34mm Carbs and looking for additional suggestions, plan on stuffing intake and running carson reeds and hydro tec heads.

hydro tec suggests 185 mains, however I am going to ship the carbs to them for reworking

I would love to locate a b115 inshore lower unit but no luck

    Current Boat is:

    1979 Hewes Super Redfisher (Kevlar)
    2009 Yamaha 115 2 stroke
    HS Lift Plate
Solas Titan HR 21" 4 blade
    boat rigged weighs 1150

can turn 5600 with 4 blade at 57 knots jack plate all the up
