Early 60/s the 1964 Paris boat, the picture was taken off Cannes during the festival of MYCCA
( MOTOR YACHT CLUB COTE D' AZUR )
i think that was 1965. But Rich could tell you the year by the Merc cowls, they look 1966 to me.
Lost the prop shaft in the first race, Cees Velden ran me all over France and Italy trying to find a replacement. I had sold the boat by then, but the owner let me run it in the series.

Name of the image even says 1967. Not sure you can tell 66-67 decals apart in black and white from that distance

Only did the MYCCA week twice------1965 and 1966, could not have been 1967.
Went in the transit camper, youngest daughter Sam was just weeks old.
That was the year I met PRUETT in Dez Embiez, he was working with Ballesteros I think.

Probably 110, I sold them to a large number of racers, don't even remember an in line six being a 90.---but then I don't remember a lot of things.
Once called my mum "Granny" and got a clump round the ear, she thought I was piss taking, just couldn't remember her name.

Nice Helmet...was that when the short lived "yarmulka head gear" was in vogue?

People who didn't take a lot of pictures often left film in cameras for months and developed the whole roll later, maybe that's why the date got wrong.

That's a possibility, but that was quite a hectic period of my life, most of it seemed to be racing boats and breeding kids whilst scratching a living.
Had changed trades from master baker to jobbing builder chasing the shillings, still couldn't earn enough to satisfy "the habit". ( boat racing ) so I took on the Mercury dealership, that was when life really got hectic. Found out quite rapidly that there was only 48 hours in a day, and living started at six on a Friday when we loaded the boat on the back of the camper van, usually getting back early hours of Monday------ unless we had been to the continent, then it was Thursday to Tuesday.

that was one of those balmy August days in the south of France when you wake up and just have to go for a boat ride, let the wind blow the cobwebs and thank God you're alive.
That's why there's no lid on.

Thought they did a 90 / 6 around 1971, seem to recollect it would pull a bunch of skiers and was as ecofriendly as a two stroke ever would be.
