I took the tins out yesterday to blow out the cob webs and at w o t the mota pops like the timeing might be off or some thing any body have any ideas. the gas was a lil old but should have been still good I am refueling it with freash new e free gas. but it seems to me this mota has done it since i have had it. it's an 08 baught brand new in 2011 one of those never sold deals from a dealer but still has the new warenty.

Any help would be greatly appreasheated Tony

Are you sure youre not hitting the rev limiter? If it runs fine up to the highest RPM then starts the popping that might be what it is. You might need a higher pitched prop

Yeah she runs fine except at wide open I can back off just a wee bit and it seems to stop. I did not realize the little mota had a rev limiter.

Quick and cheep fix I just adjusted the throttle linkage a wee bit and it stopped. Did not seem to lose any speed. But I would like to get a stainless prop for it right now it has a 10p like Vector said would like to go up a ptch or two maybe try an 11p. But heck they are proud of them little props too.

I put a 13'' merc vengance ss prop on the 25 merc on my little boat. Runs great, esp compared to the old alum prop. Big improvement...
