20' Action Marine restoration/resurrection.

Finally got started on the resto of my ole 88 action 20. Ive had the boat and trailer nearly three years now. I gutted the boat and am haveing my good friend Jeff Connelly do the body work,transom replacement and prep for paint. Going to have Jack Barsh paint it at Full Throttle. Been way over due but heres whats going on so far.

Was hopeing to just have Jeff fill all the misc, gauge and other rigging wholes as well as spider cracks etc to get ready for paint but noticed the transom was soft under the alluminum transom plate that the jack plate was bolted to so it got ripped out most of the way saturday. I will post pics as the project rolls along. I plan to have Jeff gel coat the floor white with red and black webbing. Easier to clean. Not a big fan of carpet in a boat this size and for the fact I'll be boating mostly in salt water and Im messy with the sand. The hull and deck will be painted solid Viper red. Auto meter gauges should make the dash look very cool too. It will be powered by my old 2.4 200 carbed merc just rebuilt by another good friend of mine Brad Ramp. It will be a slow proccess that will go into early summer as I can only afford one step at a time but the project has begun

Damn! I guess my pics are too big to download so I went to tinypic.com as gregs sticky thread says to host the pics and shrink them for me but the page to join/register wont load?? Anyboday care to shrink and post these pics I have if I email them to you?

Just get a photobucket.com account its free and you can store anything you want then you dont have to resize them to post and they also give you a link to post it on the message boards.

Thanks Kevin that worked I decided to delete the splashwell and smooth over the rear deck so that was cut away as seen here

Wow! Looks all too familiar. At least there's no core to deal with. Great looking so far! I like the idea of gelcote on the floor. Might do that myself.

Hotsnot is back ..weve missed ya around .hell that boat could have been in the water along time ago it wasnt that bad.when i seen it.but it will be sweet when it gets done for sure.jeffs been doin some awsome work for me and a few buddys.save them pennies bro get back out here
